 Parts of Rocketeer were shot in Central California. This particular scene was shot in Santa Maria.  3 months were spent building a vintage air field for this part of the movie which was shot in 1 week.  Classic Car Suppliers was called upon to supply 100 cars and trucks to be parked in the field next to the air field stadium. Every kind of vehicle imagineable was used to fill the order. Panel trucks, pick-up trucks, convertibles and large stake beds. Fords, Chevys, Lincolns, and Pierce Arrows. |
