| When Barry Levinson filmed Avalon in Baltimore, Classic
Car Suppliers was asked to go to Baltimore and handle all the cars on
the show due to the difficulty the transportation coordinator was having
finding the proper cars back there. Classic Car Suppliers was in the middle
of working on Postcards From The Edge and also had numerous upcoming commercials
slated so such a proposition was not feasible. The script called for 3
1946-48 Plymouth 4 door sedans to be used as taxis and 2 1946-48 Ford
4 door sedans to be used as police cars. In the end, they put in a rental
order with Classic Car Suppliers to rent them for two and a half months. The
above photo is of the vehicles used to fill the order being loaded in
L.A. for their trip to the paint shop in Baltimore. |
